Zoot Suit Blog Entry
The group that I participated in was the one that acted out scene 7: Saturday night dance.
My group united as a whole to make the best out of our activity. First we gathered as a group, and then our group assigned roles and parts to each member of our groups. Therefore each individual can start to memorize there lines and to get into character. As the days went on our groups started to actually act out the scene and do what the characters in the play did. I feel that our performance could have been stronger if certain members were not absent and the others would have not encountered stage fright. I think that one of our strengths in our play was that our members were not shy to actually stand up and act out the scene in front of the class. Also our members did stay in character most of the time. Another strength that our group had was that we memorized our lines pretty quick so we really did not need to look at the script. The weakness in our group was that there was not one day that every member of our group was actually there. This affected our play because the day that it came to present our play to the class we were missing a member. One thing that I learned from this play was that if we work things get doe faster and everything comes out better. Also if you just have fun with it you learn a lot. More then when you sit down and read something.
